Cork Textiles Network, established in 1998, offers support to all who have an interest in textiles. They aim to promote exchange with other textile networks and artists in Ireland and across Europe. They have made significant advances in bringing fibre art to children both in libraries and in the classroom. They organise and promote cutting edge textile workshops and classes in Cork.

Cork Craft Month 2016 is a month long festival of craft celebrating an abundance of high quality craft produced in Cork County and City. Crafts people working individually or alongside other artists present a diverse range of high quality craft activities. Through exhibitions, workshops, craft fairs and seminars you can make, see, collect and learn about contemporary craft.

Cork Textiles Network member Arlene Shawcross will host a free-machine embroidery demonstration and artist talk in the gallery on Saturday 20 August at 2pm. This event is free and all are welcome to attend.
